Baked Banana Donuts With Chocolate Ganache

banana donuts with chocolate frosting

The best baked banana donuts I’ve ever had! Perfect blend of flavors and they are so easy to make and no frying needed.

As I’ve said before, I am a sucker for donuts and coffee. If I could I’d eat these every day but for the sake of moderation (and my waistline) I don’t. But I do make these wickedly good banana donuts quite often. And my family absolutely loves them.

Thanks to no frying, they are so easy. And that doesn’t take anything away from their flavor. The chocolate ganache frosting goes so unbelievably well with the banana you absolutely have to try it.

But the donut is an awesome base for all types of toppings. You can go with spice, sprinkles or a glaze. Honestly, these donuts are that good.

  • 1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 Tbs. Milk
  • 3 Medium Bananas (Ripe)

Chocolate Ganache Frosting Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cups Chopped Chocolate

Ganache Instructions

Place your semi sweet chocolate chunks in a mixing bowl.

In a saucepan bring your heavy cream to a boil. As soon as it comes to a boil immediately pour your heavy cream into your chocolate chunks.

Let the mixture rest for about two minutes and then whisk by hand until it is creamy. Set ganache in refrigerator covered until ready to frost donuts.

Donut Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Spray your doughnut pans and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl add your dry ingredients and set aside.

In a separate bowl add your wet ingredients and whisk by hand until well blended. Add in your dry ingredients and then stir until well combined.

Fill your doughnut pans about three quarters of the way full and bake for about twelve to fourteen minutes.

Remove donuts when golden brown. Allow to slightly cool for about five minutes and then frost with chilled chocolate ganache frosting.

Store in an airtight container until you serve.
