How to Scald Milk

If this cooking technique is new to you, no need to worry. It’s a very straight forward process, and once you learn how it will open up a ton of other great tasting recipes.
The process requires you to heat up your milk until it is just about to boil (but doesn’t). Then you simply cool your milk back to room temperature.
Step 1: Add your milk to a saucepan.
Step 2: Bring to medium heat and stir your milk while heating.
Step 3: When tiny bubbles appear along the edges of your milk, remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
And that’s all there is to it!

With only a handful of common ingredients, this is a very affordable pie recipe. But don’t let that fool you, it’s packed with flavor!
