How to Make Crepes Using Bisquick
This recipe take about 25 minutes to make and it yields a dozen crepes.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Bisquick
- 1 Cup Whole Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 Tbs. Butter
Add your eggs, milk, Bisquick, and softened butter to your blender and process for about thirty seconds. Scrape down the edges and process again until smooth.
If you don’t have a blender, add your eggs to a mixing bowl and whisk until yellow. Add Bisquick and milk gradually while whisking.
Melt butter and add to mixture. Whisk until smooth.
Spray pan with non stick spray. Bring your frying pan or crepe pan to medium low heat.
Add a tablespoon of crepe batter to pan to test. Tilt pan in a circular motion. Batter should move around your pan freely. If it doesn’t lower heat and test until it does. Discard test batter.
For each crepe, add enough batter to create a thin layer covering the bottom of your pan.
Cook the first side until tiny bubbles form along the edges. It should take about one minutes.
To flip your crepe, loosen the edges of your crepe with a spatula. Then lift crepe just enough to grasp it with your fingers and flip it using your fingers in one quick motion.
You can flip with your spatula if it is too hot to use your fingers (don’t burn yourself!).
Note: A spatula does tend to tear your crepes.
Cook the second side until the bottom of your crepe begins to brown. It should only take about one minute.
Remove crepe and repeat until all batter is used.
Fill and serve crepes immediately.
