This delicious cookie dough is edible without cooking and it has no chocolate chips. So if you love a sweet spoonful of cookie without the chunks of chocolate, this is the recipe for you!
This is an alternative to my flour and eggless recipe (the main difference is we don’t use any chocolate:).
I have to admit, sometimes I’m just not in the mood for chocolate.
*Gasp*
I know what you’re thinking, a baker who isn’t in love with chocolate isn’t possible. But the truth is, sometimes I like my sweets smooth. I’m not always in the mood for chunks of chocolate.
And those are the times I turn to recipes like this one and my chocolate cookie dough ice cream without chocolate chips.
So if you ever want your sweet tooth craving conquered without chunks, this is the dough recipe for you!
Making Cookie Dough With No Chocolate Chips

Like I was saying, this is very similar to another of my edible dough recipes. And like that one, it only takes about five minutes to prepare.
Then you just pop it in the refrigerator and chill for about thirty minutes. It really is as simple as that.
And this recipe doesn’t have flour or eggs. That means it’s perfectly safe to eat without cooking (I actually wouldn’t even try to cook this dough).
And as a mom, that means I can let the kiddos snack on it and not worry about food borne illness (seriously though, the kids don’t eat raw egg I promise).
FAQ
Can I store my cookie dough and eat it later?
Absolutely! Just put it in an airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to five days. You can even freeze your dough for as long as three months. Roll it up like a log and place it in a freezer safe bag.
Can I add any other ingredients?
Yes! This recipe is a great base for all sorts of other great flavors. You can add toffee, sprinkles, and just about any of your favorite non chocolate cookie flavors.
Can I use flour in this recipe?
Yes. I go with oats because it’s quicker. But you can use flour. If you do make sure to heat it to 166 degrees before using. This will kill any potentially harmful bacteria in your flour.
Can I cook this dough?
I wouldn’t. It doesn’t have the necessary ingredients to make a good baked cookie. It’s meant to be enjoyed as is.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
- 3/4 Cup Soft Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups Oats
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
- Dash Salt
Start by blending your oats so they are a fine powder. The smaller the bits of oats are the smoother your finished dough will be.
Then put your brown sugar, granulated sugar and butter in a mixing bowl. Use your hand mixer and process until creamy.
Next pour in your vanilla extract and combine it. Then gradually add your oats and salt while mixing until completely combined.
Now just cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least a half an hour. This will firm up your cookie dough and provide that texture we all know and love.
If you do add any other flavors, stir them in after mixing your oats and salt.
