This classic crepe recipe is perfect for making without a blender or food processor! Easy and quick crepe perfect for any of your favorite sweet or savory fillings.
When my blender is dirty (sometimes the dishes just have to wait) and I still want to make crepes I go to the good old fashion hand whisk.
While a blender will give you the fastest results, you can still make delicious crepes (find the recipe below) without one.
This classic crepe is soft and so tasty. I use it as a base for many of my favorite recipes.
And you can make most of the crepe recipes on the site by hand whisking your batter. So check out the other varieties for some crepe inspiration.
How To Make Crepes If You Don’t Have A Blender

So like I said, this recipe is super easy and can be mixed by hand. Just follow the step by step instructions below for a quick and easy batter.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Tbs. Melted Unsalted Butter
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 1/3 Cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
Now add all of your crepe ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk by hand until well blended. There should be no lumps and you will have to scrape down the sides of your bowl a couple times.
Next spray non stick spray on your crepe pan or medium skillet. Heat your pan to medium low.
Now you will want to test your crepe batter. Add about one tablespoon to the heated pan. It should sizzle a little bit.
Now tilt the pan in a circular motion. Your batter should move around easily. Discard your test batter.
For each crepe you will pour enough batter to create a thin layer on the bottom of your pan.
Each side will cook pretty fast, only about one minute each.
Your crepe is ready to flip when tiny bubbles form on the surface.
Now you can flip with a spatula but that can lead to a broken crepe. I like to lightly scrape all around the edge of the crepe then lift it just enough to grab the crepe with my fingers.
I then quickly flip it by hand with one motion. Be careful because it will be hot. It can take some practice but this is the best way to flip a crepe I have found.
Repeat for each crepe until all batter is used. You will want to add all your filling and toppings when still hot and serve immediately.
And that’s all it takes to make a crepe without a blender!
