Amazing No Churn Nectarine Ice Cream

Amazing No Churn Nectarine Ice Cream

Wonderful Nectarine flavor ice cream without churning or using an ice cream machine!

When nectarines are in season this is one of my boys’ and my favorite no churn ice cream recipes to whip up.

I love a simple no ice cream machine needed recipe and this is a good one!

The trick to getting this one perfect it using ripe nectarines. They should be soft and juicy, you don’t want any tough unripe nectarines so make sure they are ripe!

I try to buy mine from a local organic farmer (I love supporting local businesses whenever possible) but as long as they are ripe you can get your nectarines wherever you prefer.

After that its just a few ingredients and a mixing bowl and a mixer and you are good to go.

How To Make Your No Churn/No Machine Ice Cream

heavy cream in bowl with whisk

Ingredients

  • 14 oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 5 Ripe Nectarines (pitted, peeled, and diced)

Instructions

  • Peel, take out the pits, and chop two nectarines. Peel, take out the pits, and dice the other three.
  • Add two chopped nectarines, vanilla extract, and your sweetened condensed milk to blender and process until well blended.
  • Add heavy cream to a mixing bowl and mix until stiff peaks form.
  • Pour your nectarine mixture into your heavy cream and fold until well blended.
  • Place ice cream into freezer and chill for half an hour.
  • Remove from freezer and pour in diced nectarines. Fold until evenly distributed.
  • Freeze at least six hours. Serve and enjoy!

To start peel your nectarines (learn how to easily peel nectarines below) and cut them in half. Remove the pits and then dice them.

Some of these will be added to your ice cream mixture and the rest added in chunks at the end.

Now put two of your nectarines and sweetened condensed milk in your blender and process until thoroughly mixed.

In a mixing bowl add your heavy cream and mix it until it forms stiff peaks. Now add in your nectarine mixture and fold it into your whipped cream until well combined.

Place your mixture in the freezer for about a half an hour to chill. This will firm up your ice cream enough to add in your diced nectarines.

Once chilled, pull out your ice cream and sprinkle in your diced nectarines. Your ice cream should be firm enough to prevent the fruit from sinking to the bottom.

Fold the diced nectarines in until evenly spread throughout your ice cream. Pour your ice cream into a freezer safe container and chill overnight (at least six hours) and then it’s ready to serve.

How To Peel Nectarines

bowl of nectarines

Peeling nectarines isn’t difficult with the following technique. Start by bringing water to a boil in a good sized pot.

Score your nectarines with a sharp knife in a cross pattern. Then throw them in the boiling water.

Leave them in for no more than thirty seconds and carefully remove them from the boiling water.

The area you scored should be peeled up. Now just have to grab ahold of those sections and peel off the skin. Simple as that!

Conclusion

This recipe is so refreshing and creamy! It’s the perfect summer dessert for the entire family. My boys love helping me make this simple, no churn ice cream and like eating it even more.

The only semi-tricky part is peeling the nectarines. As long as you follow the technique above it will be a breeze. Just don’t leave them in the boiling water too long.
