No need for a long ingredient list to make yourself a flavor packed crumble top peach pie. In fact, there’s a good chance you have everything you need on hand already.

Note: This recipe works great with a premade bottom crust, but if you want to make your own, you will find multiple options further below.

Filling Ingredients

  • Peaches (fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • Powdered Sugar
  • All-Purpose Flour

Crumble Top Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Brown Sugar
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon

Peaches: I love using fresh peaches for this pie, but you can also use frozen or canned peaches if that’s all you have available. Make sure to drain off excess liquid when using canned or frozen peaches. Make sure to use sliced peaches too!

Powdered Sugar: Powdered sugar provides the perfect amount of sweetness while aiding in the thickness of our filling.

Flour: This is my preferred thickener. It produces a classic filling texture but you can opt for an alternative thickener such as cornstarch or tapioca flour if desired.

Brown Sugar: This is a very important part of producing a great flavored and textured crumble top. Make sure to pack your brown sugar when measuring. You can use light or dark brown sugar, though I usually use light brown sugar.

Flour for Topping: I do not recommend using a flour alternative in your topping. Flour produces an ideal crumbly texture.

To save time you can use a premade, 9″ pie crust for the bottom of your pie. But if you do have enough time, make your own for a wonderful flavor and texture enhancer.

If you want to make your own, I recommend using one of the below recipes for this pie. The texture and flavor compliments our filling and streusel top perfectly.

Simple Press Crust

  • 1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Tbs Milk

Combine above ingredients in mixing bowl in the order listed. Then press into pie pan (do not roll out). Then prepare pie recipe as written.
