Substitutions and Alternative Ingredients
If you are out of any of these ingredients, there are some other options. Keep in mind that some can effect the texture and flavor of your peach pie filling, but they all work in a pinch.
Fresh Peaches: If peaches aren’t in season you can go with canned or frozen peaches. Both work great for making pie filling so use whichever you have available.

Flour: While all purpose flour or tapioca flour are my go to cornstarch alternatives, you can use almond flour or cassava flour to thicken this pie filling.
Lemon Juice: Lemon juice provides the necessary acidity to bring out the flavor in your pie filling. But if you are all out you can use lemon zest or even apple cider vinegar in a pinch.
Cinnamon: If you’re out of cinnamon, you have a few replacement options. Go with pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice, or allspice at a 1:1 ratio.
