How to Make Homemade No Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

These delicious little peanut butter balls are super simple to make. Prep time is just minutes so they are a great recipe to make for those last minutes get togethers and parties.
When my boys were younger, this was a favorite to make when they had friends over for a visit.
And the only equipment you need is a medium mixing bowl and a hand mixer (I do use parchment paper to roll the peanut butter balls in toppings but that’s completely optional).
Peanut Butter Ball Ingredients

Not only does this recipe take very little time to make, you only need a handful of common ingredients. There’s a good chance you have all these ingredients in your pantry already.
Ingredient List
- Condensed Milk
- Vanilla Extract
- Powdered Sugar
- Creamy Peanut Butter
- Butter (softened)
Peanut Butter: I prefer regular, creamy peanut butter for this recipe. But you can use natural or even crunchy peanut butter if you prefer.
Vanilla Extract: This adds a bit of flavor to our peanut butter balls. But some do not like consuming no bake recipes with vanilla extract. You can skip the vanilla extract if you want.
Roll on Some Toppings

This recipe is great as is, but is also a great base for all sorts of toppings. At the end, simply roll your peanut butter balls in your favorite topping.
The topping will stick to your balls and add an interesting flavor. Here are some ideas to get you started. You can mix and match any of your favorite topping ideas.
- Shredded Coconut
- Granulated Sugar
- Powdered Sugar
- Peanut Butter Chips
- Crushed Nuts
- Oats
- Crumbled Granola
- Cinnamon
- Cinnamon Sugar
Note: I have a friend who swears by rolling them in a bit of chili powder. I’ve never tried it, but if you do let me know what you think.
Simple Step by Step Instructions

Before getting started, clean your prep surface and lay out some parchment paper. I like to sprinkle any toppings I’m going to use on the parchment paper.
Then roll each of my peanut butter balls in the toppings. You can also just roll them in a bowl, either method works fine.
Step 1: Open your can of sweetened condensed milk and add your vanilla extract directly in the can
Step 2: Add sugar and softened butter in your mixing bowl and mix on medium high speed until creamy
Step 3: Add milk and peanut butter and stir well by hand
Step 4: Using your hands, roll your peanut butter balls into desired size
Step 5: If using toppings, roll each ball in desired toppings now
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!

Peanut Butter Ball Recipe Notes
- You can decrease your powdered sugar by a half a cup and increase peanut butter by one third a cup for a less sweet peanut butter ball.
- If making for a large get together, simply double your recipe.
- Store your peanut butter balls in a sealed container either at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
- To prevent sticking, put each peanut butter ball in a cupcake wrapper.
