Amazing flavor combination. The banana donuts are soft and delicious and the chocolate ganache frosting is truly decadent.

  • Mixing Bowls

Banana Donuts

  • Cups Flour
  • ¼ tsp. Baking Soda
  • tsp. Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 Tbs. Milk
  • 3 Medium Bananas Ripe
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Ganache Frosting

  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cups Chopped Chocolate Chunks Semi-sweet

Chocolate Ganache Frosting

  • Pour your chopped semi-sweet chocolate chunks in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  • Bring your heavy cream to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Immediately pour heavy cream into chocolate once it comes to a boil.
  • Let the mixture rest for two minutes and then whisk by hand until creamy.
  • Chill in refrigerator until ready to spread on donuts.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray your doughnut pans and set aside.
  • Put your dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a different mixing bowl, add your wet ingredients and whisk by hand until well blended.
  • Add your dry ingredients and stir until well blended.
  • Fill each donut compartment of your pan about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes. Remove when donuts are golden brown.
  • Allow them to cool for about five minutes and then spread your ganache frosting on each donut.
  • Serve or store in airtight container and enjoy!

  • I like to finish my donuts off with some chocolate sprinkles.
  • These donuts work well with a powdered sugar or spice topping as well.
